About

Originally born in South Africa, I’ve grown up in a trilingual home speaking Afrikaans, English and German and personally still love learning new languages as an adult. After emmigrating as a child, I completed my schooling and tertiary studies in Queensland, Australia.

At university I completed my undergraduate degrees in Science and Business, after which I also went on to undertake a Master of Teaching (secondary) and have been teaching science as a fully registered teacher in Queensland since 2022. During this time I’ve also completed a Graduate Certificate of TESOL and IDP IELTS Teacher Training to expand my teaching capabilites to languages – which is where my passion truly lies.

A way to combine my life and teaching experiences with my passion for languages is how the idea for Doceo Go was born. Taking its roots from Latin and English, I combined the word doceo (to teach) and the word ‘go‘ for the convenient reason of online learning. My goal is to help people who also want to make Australia their home by becoming proficient speakers of English.
